All student library materials will be due on Friday, May 22nd. Please help your child locate any missing library books that may have found their way under car seats, under beds, or behind dressers. Thank you for your help.

Congratulations to Dixie Elementary Teacher of the Year, Mr. Moreno!
ImageI am on my seventh year working as an elementary teacher and along all this years I have learned so many things. I love to offer support and encouragement to my students. What has been a key during my teaching experience is creating an environment where my students can believe on themselves and where they can trust on their skills and abilities to be successful. I could describe my class in three words: engage, trust, and fun. - Mr. Moreno

Exciting News

Dear Parents,
Its so exciting to see the completion of our new gym, cafeteria, and 4th/5th grade wing! As we move into the next phase of construction, we have to make several changes and move many staff members. One of the main changes is our afternoon dismissal. Here is a list of important changes that would help you as you visit our campus.
Our original front office area and front entry will be under construction. All visitors will need to enter from the temporary front entry which is located near the cafeteria on Nimitz St.
Please use the new parking lot on Nimitz to drop off your child in the morning.
Car riders will be dismissed from the new cafeteria. Please review the map below and follow the traffic flow.
Students safety is our top priority. We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we transition to our new building. The first week will be challenging for some of our students, because they will need to learn new dismissal procedures.
Sincerely,

Joanne Saul
Principal
